BORON - laboratory for design and synthesis of fluorophores

Funding

Currently we are working within the framework of Opus and Miniatura funding.

Those projects, from National Science Centre, are:

  1. Development of new class of fluorophores based on boron centre with tailored photophysical properties (2019/35/B/ST5/00656, OPUS),
  2. New two-photon absorbers with dipolar and quadrupolar architecture: from synthesis to applications (2021/43/B/ST5/00753, OPUS) in cooperation (consortium) with Wrocław University of Science and Technology (NONA group) and prof. Robert Zaleśny from the same university,
  3. In Three-photon absorption of organic fluorescent dyes (2023/51/B/ST5/00677, OPUS) we are a part of consortium, while PI is prof. Hans Agren from Wrocław University of Science and Technology,
  4. New fluorophores carrying the nitro group (2025/9/X/ST4/01018, MINIATURA).

Closed projects:

  1. Boron-based Fluorophores - Functionalisation, Properties and Their Tests for Versatile Usage (2017/26/M/ST5/00327, HARMONIA) a project for research in the field of emissive molecules and for development of international cooperation, which in this case was guided with prof. Denis Jacquemin, University of Nantes, France.
